Hamaela initially booked us for their engagement back in 2018 and then in 2019, they booked us to shoot their Civil ceremony at the Capel Manor Gardens.

They wanted a lot of natural shots of the event and themselves. Capel Manor Gardens had great outdoor space to work with and the summer weather topped it up by giving us amazing natural light.

Capturing the day

Civil events are pretty simple and straightforward. As we have captured many in our time we knew exactly what to do and where to be placed. Tasks were delegated as follows, one team to focus on the bride and groom and the other to stay on the guests for their reactions.

The day started with us capturing the settings and also guests arriving. We captured some messages from family and friends just before the event kicked off which is always a nice add on to the movie. After the civil ceremony and celebrations, we then took them away for their shoot.
